A few months ago, I remember she'd said she was surprised no one had said anything about the Kagome/Inuyasha scene in that chapter.
And I loved that part of the chapter! Been wanting to draw something from it for a while now. And... finally sat down tonight and drew this tonight. Took about two hours to sketch, ink, and color. Just a little something becuase I've been needing to draw stuff for the past few weeks and I've just been so darn busy I couldn't get a single thing done. I also wanted to go back to a technique I haven't used in a while. ^_^

Hehe. Res rocks, what can we say?

"You look different," Kagome finally says, helplessly.

At her words, they become still.

"So do you," Inuyasha says, after a moment.

So Kagome looks down at herself, and she thinks, But this is me...

"I - " She glances back up at him, feeling a little breathless, and a little sad. "I was in love with you..."

And for a moment there is a little bit of pain in his face, a little bit of the anger she saw when they met for the very first time, and now there is one thing that Kagome knows for certain: she never wants to see that expression on his face again.

Then it is gone and he nods. "Yeah," he says. "Me, too."
